Hello there 👋
Good Morning! Did you know that it took Lin Manuel Miranda a full year to write his first and one song for his award-winning musical Hamilton? We have a Rangr Highlight who uses My Shot to hype himself up before pitching his startup.
Fun Bite-Size News of the Week 🗞️
In classic European fashion, there is currently a debate on whether vegetarian meat can be or should be called meat-based terminologies such as steak or burgers
Rangr Highlight 🙌
“It all started when I tore my ACL while playing soccer in high school. I was out of commision for at least a few months before I could reach a point where I could move normally. I reached a point where I asked what’s the point of doing highschool and doing college, and I realized I identified my values of helping people and valuing my own health.”
This is Jared Meyers, the co-founder and fearless leader of Augment Health, a medical device startup that allows users to safely and comfortably monitor their bladder fill in order to restore freedom and independence.
He is currently a senior at Georgia Tech pursuing his Biomedical Engineering Bachelors degree. He started life with multiple allergies, one being allergic to peas, and also suffered an ACL injury during his high school soccer career. These moments in life allowed him to really think about what he wanted to do and why. His perspective was forever changed to solving problems and not just any problems, problems associated with one's health.
Jared learned to use multiple productivity tools and tips such as putting everything he does on a calendar and time boxing specific tasks so he can focus on one thing at a time. Apparently, the easiest way his girlfriend could get a hold of him is to schedule herself on the calendar.
We dived deep into his favorite way to psych himself up which is blasting either Eminem's 8 miles Lose Yourself or Hamilton the Musical's My Shot!

3 Lessons, Book, and Media by Jared Meyers
Talk to People
People at the end of the day are the ones that going to support you and really want you to succeed.
People are generally amazing and usually willing to help.
Make sure you have time for yourself
As a student, we have the idea of constantly grinding to achieve our goals and tasks, and promise we will rest later but later never comes.
You have to discover what you enjoy doing now so that everything that you do now is constantly worth it.
Perspective is Everything
You choose if you are happy or comfortable. There are no regrets I have in life because I know the lessons and tough moments in life really allowed me to make future smart decisions.
Book: Never Eat Alone
“Networking is such a disgusting term.”
This book really changed the way where I view talking with people and connecting with people. People generally have a sense of fear of approaching new people.
I remember this moment when this person gave this amazing presentation where he could talk about customer discovery on the hardest topic such as depression to interview someone on. After the presentation, I walked straight up to him and got my first internship in sales.
Musical: Hamilton
I see inspiration from the musical and specifically the song My Shot, where I see this mix between Eminem and Alexandar Hamilton. The classic story of a 19-year-old coming to a new place where he has a bit of skill and really wants to make a name for himself.
“ I still I hope my “My Shot” moment is yet to come because if I already had that one moment than I feel like I already peaked.
